A SILVER VICTORIAN WINE COOLER, JOHN SAMUEL HUNT FOR HUNT & ROSKELL, LATE STORR & MORTIMER, LONDON, 1860 of classical urn form, designed with highly stylized and ornate grapevine motifs, with twin entwined branch handles, the flaring rim with overhanging fruiting grapevines atop conforming openwork body, the entwined branch stem spreading on to four leaves, all atop an incurved square pedestal base with scrolling acanthus feet, with plain liner, marked with 925 lion passant standard, Queen Victoria duty mark, written and "ISH crowned" maker's marks, model number 395, incised ENGLAND, D15 under base, a grape leaf on verso additionally marked with leopard head town mark and date cypher; overall height: 39 cm (15 3/8 in.), weight: 4.45 kg (143 ozt) CONDITION The cooler and its liner are in overall excellent original condition.
