Early 20th century James Dixon & Sons English silver epergne of openwork floral design with floral swags to central column and ornate foliate form feet. (8) scrolling arms terminating in alternating reticulated pedestal baskets and hanging baskets; with a central ovoid form reticulated basket - stamped to underside with James Dixon & Sons maker's mark, Sheffield city stamps, a date letter of 1911? and a retailer's stamp of, "Gimbel Brothers Sheffield England". Each additional piece is stamped with the maker's mark, city stamps, and date letter. Total approx. weight of epergne is 210.96 troy oz (gross). From a Long Island, NY estate. Dimensions: epergne measures approx. 21.75" w x 23" d x 17.75" h to top of basket, width and depth exclude baskets.
