A Tibetochinese gilt bronze figure of Avalokiteshvara Shadakshari. Ming dynasty, 16th century His principal hands folded in front of his chest, holding a lotus in his secondary left hand, the mala in his secondary right is missing, wearing a dhoti, an elaborate belt and necklace with beaded festoons, and a cape billowing around his shoulders and arms, adorned with various jewellery, the hair fashioned into a chignon centred by the image of his spiritual father Amitabha behind an elaborate tiara.
