A superb Harappan vessel from the Indus Valley, ca. 2500 - 1800 BC. This unusually large example is 6-1/4 in high, 6-1.2 in in diameter and stands on a rounded base. It is decorated with a pair of large Brahma bulls separated by plants and surrounded by a variety of symbols. The widely flared rim is encircled with serpentine and linear d?cor. Intact, with strong mineral encrustation. (IV507)
