A rare gold ring with a circular hoop and elliptical trumpet bezel with red gemstone intaglio bearing an erotic scene comprising a naked woman sitting atop a reclining man with an erect phallus; a gigantic phallus can be seen hovering in the far left. Scenes of a sexual nature were often considered to bring good luck in Roman culture. This beautiful piece may once have belonged to a Roman courtesan. Excellent condition; wearable.
