Condition report: The painting is an oil on canvas, unframed. The canvas has been relined. The paint surface has craquelure with some areas of paint loss and varnish layer removal- possibly the result of cleaning. There is a diagonal stratch on the surface between the Madonna's outstretched arm to her right foot and a chip to the paint in the white blanket beneath the child's right thigh.
