A pair of Derby porcelain figural candlesticks
circa 1760
modelled as a female flower seller and male fruit vendor, with foliate sconce and floral encrusted stem, on a scroll moulded acanthus base, pad marks to base,
25.5cm high (2)
Condition report: Male figure - Some minor chips and losses to the flowers and the leaves, firing crack to one small section of the base. Chip to the reverse of his hat, small chip to the underside of one petal on the sconce.
Female figure - chips and losses to flowers/petals as above, chip to the reverse of the hat which has been partially in-filled in the past. There is a crack, probably on firing, to the underside of her yellow fabric skirt.
Overall to both figures, some rubbing to the gilding on the bases and minor wear in areas to the painted enamels. Please see additional images.
