A Silver Mounted Agate Snuff bottle of compressed heart form, Qing Dynasty. The bottle mounted with silver at the neck and foot,the neck with the makers mark "Maquet", the stopper with silver mounted precious stones including tourmaline and jade, the foot with an oval shaped silver support nicely decorated to the surface, the body of the agate bottle decorated with an infinite stars pattern and a stylized tied ribbon decoration incised to one side, the stone of a beautiful deep golden amber color, a shadow oscures the interior where a snuff residue is still in the interior.
