Manner of David Teniers the Younger, 20th century- Tavern scene; oil on panel, 16.5x22.5cm Held in a parcel gilded and ebonised reverse profile ripple moulded frame, late 20th century. Backboard is of greyish-white coloured card. The frame in good condition. The panel support is adhered to the recto of the backboard of the frame so the reverse cannot be inspected. All edges are visible. The edges of the panel can be seen obliquely and this panel is approx. 2.5cm in depth. There are worm holes and the edges of the panel appear to have been subject to staining. Worm hole to lower left corner Recto, top left corner chipped with losses, top right corner also knocked and chipped, lower edge a little uneven and right hand side subject to small chipping. The paint surface is subject to a very regular craquelure throughout and a high gloss varnish. Under inspection with UV lamp there is Overall in very good condition.
