Sevres style, late 19th century. Cobalt blue ground porcelain urn with gilt bronze mounts and handles, acorn finial to the cover. With hand painted panels on either side of vase, one landscape and the other a figural genre scene. With gilded foliate decorative details surrounding. Crossed L marks on underside of cover, Sevres style. Painted figural group is signed Lucot at the bottom left corner. H. to finial: 78 cm (30 3/4 in.) Provenance: From Chelster Hall Oakville, Ontario by order of the Estate Trustee.
