The son of the late Willard Clanton and the late Karen Clanton. Tom was a veteran of the US Navy having given thirty years of service for his country. While in the USN he was stationed in Olongapo Philippines and at Ching Chaun Kang Air Base in Taiwan flying aboard the P3 Orion. The P3 was used for anti-submarine operations and as reconnaissance missions. Since then, Tom begins fascinated and collecting many Oriental Chinese Antiques and Fine Arts. A Very fine Chinese porcelain moon vase. Potted in a flattened round body, tapered gracefully toward narrow straight neck leading to a flat rim, raised on splayed oval foot base. Two shaped archaic dragon handles flanked from shoulder to the neck with protruding medallion on the body. The exterior delicately decorated in vivid colorful famille rose hand painting of red Fu bats flying over flowering and fruiting peach abundant. Mark on base, a six underglazed blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
