Anne Adele Haddrall was born in Perth County, Canada. Moved to Toronto as a teenager and raised her family in Stratford There she established the Haddrall School of Highland Dancing sharing her love of dance with students all over Stratford. In the late 1980s, she traveled worldwide to learn and share her experience. Mrs. Anne toured Europe and collected English secretaries, French demi-lunes and crystal girandoles along with highly collectible Chinese articles. Her collection grew and filled her home with many highly collectable . Items sold at auction will towards her designated charities. Pale jade inkwell resembling a bird with long feathered wings folded against its form and a tail feathers folded in a handle-like shape. Its face opened giving a ferocious expression. Its body is hollowed at the top to allow the ink to store. All resting on a dark hardwood stand. The jade shows moist slick appearance with attractive golden russet inclusions.
