此件器物为一件非常不错的陈设雅器，插屏内疑似一个盘心，进行打磨，再嵌于硬木之上。盘心绘有一个老道观摩着一个卷轴，卷轴内展开的是一幅八卦图。清世宗雍正帝迷恋和崇尚道教，他对道家道喜爱始于皇子时期，早在潜邸时，他就对道教中占卜星相，医食问药有着浓厚的兴趣。这副图似乎表现了雍正皇帝的内心世界，底部落有大清雍正年制六字楷书青花款制，为典型雍正早期款制，粉彩的质感有早期水墨粉彩的韵味，值得珍视。
