A glazed composition scarab with detailed carapace and mouth; the underside with low-relief scene of a kneeling kilted huntsman drawing a bow amid foliage; possibly the god Wepwawet. 2.69 grams, 20mm (3/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired Bonhams, London, Knightsbridge, 30th September 2016, lot 239 [part]; formerly in a UK private collection, formed in the 1970s, accompanied by a copy of the relevant Bonhams catalogue pages.
