A large iron axehead with long triangular-section blade and D-shaped socket, rectangular hammer extension to the rear with incised chequerboard design; one side of the neck with a double maker's mark of a crown(?) within a shield, a horizontal line with three transverse strokes above, a cross-shaped opening to the neck. 890 grams, 25cm (10").
