A bronze banneret comprising a waisted mounting column and bifacial heraldic heater shield with enamelled arms 'barry of six argent and azure, a bend gules with three pierced rowels'. 23.6 grams, 50mm (2"). From the private collection of a Dorset, UK, gentleman; found near York in the 1990s. Possibly a variant of the arms of John de Grey, 2nd Baron Grey de Rotherfield who died in 1359. [No Reserve]
