Description

清早期青玉玉璧 Of irregular circular form with central aperture, the softly polished stone of greenish celadon tone, all supported on a delicately carved lingzhi stand. 說文》稱：“璧圓像天”，《周禮》則有“以蒼璧禮天”之說。這說明璧之圓形是仿“天圓”而作。其功能主要用於祭天的禮器，另外也有辟邪或是等級與財富的象徵。此璧玉璧深綠色，用料上乘，典雅古樸，雜有大片的褐黃色斑，半透明。圓整，平廓；中孔、外緣齊整。配硬木底座，座以滿浮雕如意云紋裝飾，雕工純熟。本器有天下太平、洪福齊天之吉祥寓意。
