A 19TH CENTURY CHRYSOBERYL AND RUBY BROOCH/PENDANT, a quatrefoil motif set with five oval-cut chrysoberyl in cut-down settings and spaced by oval-cut rubies within foliate bead frames, suspending three graduated pear-cut chrysoberyl and ruby set pendant drops. Measures 8.4cm by 3.7cm, 25.7 grams The absence of a Condition Report does not imply that a lot is without imperfections. Please note carefully the exclusion of liability for the condition of lots contained in the Conditions of Sale. The brooch/pendant is in good condition, there is some minor facet wear to some rubies. It fastens with a pin and later safety catch, which are removable by tongue and box fittings, it also has a hinged suspension loop for use as a pendant. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold. Condition report made 030321.
