A collection of French silver salts, to include: a pair of French double oval salts, Paris 1784-1785, Maison Commune mark, with foliate chased loop handles, gadrooned borders, pierced bodies and on eight claw and ball feet, 14cm (5 1 /2in) long; a pair of French silver gilt oval salts, circa 1810, pierced and engraved with pillar decoration, on four hoof feet, 7.5cm (3in) long, with two blue glass liners; another pair of similar salts; and a pair of French silver circular salts, circa 1809, with applied bird legs, 75cm (3in) diameter, with two blue glass liners, 746g (24 oz) gross
