A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH PORCELAIN AND ORMOLU MANTEL CLOCK MODELLED AS AN URN, the cobalt blue glazed porcelain baluster vase case surmounted by a Rococo style gilt bronze figure of a Chinese man lifting his hat, above mounts cast as cherubs holding floral garlands, raised on a circular and square re-entrant cut plinth base with egg and dart border, the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals signed 'ALBERT RUE ST HONORE', the twin train movement striking on a bell, with pendulum, 66cm high Property from an English Private Collection. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 6 October 2000, lot 161, £1900. The clock is winding, ticking and striking when the hands are turned but not fully tested or guaranteed.
