A GEORGE II AND LATER WALNUT STOOL, the overstuffed seat upholstered with needlepoint, centred by a botanical study on a pale blue field, surrounded by a foliate border and studded edge, raised on cabriole legs with C scrolls, terminating in pad feet. 45cm high x 55cm wide x 45cm deep Provenance: Property from a private collection of a distinguished American lady, Eaton Square, London. Condition Report: There is some evidence of old woodworm. There are some holes and wear to the needlepoint upholstery. There is evidence of glue where one leg joins the body. We believe the legs and the frame of the stool may be later. There are some small chips to the legs.
