本品敞口，唇沿，弧壁，圈足。碗内外通施酱釉色，釉质细密醇厚，匀净内敛，酱中闪金，光鲜明丽，雅致可人。酱釉又名“紫金釉”，因以“紫金土”配釉而得名，又因釉色似僧人的袈裟，而被称作“老僧衣”，此酱釉碗，造型规整，胎质细腻，釉面匀净，甚为难得，底青花双圈内书“大明嘉靖年制”款。
