本品敞口，斜直壁，圈足，形似斗笠，故而得名。碗内外壁通施郎红釉，釉色如初凝之牛血，鲜红浓艳，亮丽雍雅。口沿露出白胎，俗称“灯草边”，垂釉近足，足际及底无釉，即所谓“脱口垂足郎不流”，别具风韵。底为双圈无款，康熙早期瓷器大部分无款，或双圈无字式两种，是康熙官窑早期之特征。
