A VENETIAN 'SERPENT STEM' GOBLET, 18TH CENTURY, with a deep flared bowl with twelve rim points, applied to the side with looping handles on the heavily ribbed lower body of the bowl, the upper body with green and pink swirls with gold inclusions, above a spherical ribbed knop and baluster form stem decorated with lugs and a wrythen snake or serpent on a circular, domed, folded and wrythen pink and gold foot with pontil mark beneath. 27.5cm high
