A George I walnut and feather banded travelling writing box, circa 1720, the hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior, and with a long drawer, the base inscribed K.P to the underside, 21cm high, 42cm wide, 30cm deep Provenance: Property from The Manor House, Stanford in the Vale Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions, consistent with age and use, Some chips and losses, old splits and cracks, The drawer previously divided - there are groove apparent to the front, the handles are not original - there is a key present but this is not operating either of the locks at time of report - the locks may need an oil and/or a replacement key sort - Dreweatts makes no comments or guarantees.
