An early 20th century diamond, ruby and sapphire bird brooch, the bird set throughout with rose cut diamonds, the head with sapphire accents and a cabochon with ruby eye, with rows of circular cut ruby wing and tail accents, 3.9cm wide, 15.2g gross Condition Report: There are lead solder and solder patches and repairs to the reverse, there are splits to the tail setting where it has been possibly broken off totally and then repaired, there is a small ruby missing in the tail near the repair, and another has been glued into place. The bird is missing its feet, and legs have repairs, the brooch fitting is later, there is an original screw fitting visible to the back of the brooch.
