Dated by inscription to the 16th year of the Wanli reign corresponding to 1587 and of the period The heavily-potted deep bowl supported on three animal-mask legs, flanked by two curved upright handles, the body richly decorated in high relief with two sinuous dragons confronting a central lotus blossom, two further flowers attached to the back, applied overall in turquoise, ochre and purple glazes, the rim and handles edged with raised bosses bands, inscribed with names of donors and the maker. 36cm (14 1/8in) high.
