Incised Jingtai six-character mark, 16th/17th century The vessel of square section rising from a tall spreading foot to a waisted neck and flaring rim, the shoulder set with two applied gilt-bronze lion-mask ring handles, decorated in bright enamels with flowering branches of peony, prunus, camellia and grapes issuing from rockwork, all reserved on a turquoise ground between four galloping horses at the foot and pendent plantain leaves at the neck, the base incised with Jingtai apocryphal six-character mark. 28cm (11in) high.
