Heisei era (1989-2019), early 21st century Sanno ('Mountain King'): an arched, elongated but compressed oval handled flower basket plaited in tight open-work twill plaiting with a radiating-line construction rim, the handle of natural bamboo, stained and secured on each side with knotting and twining, the otoshi (water container) a lacquered section of bamboo; signed underneath with incised characters Shoko; with a wood tomobako storage box inscribed on the outside of the lid Hanakago Sanno (A flower basket [named] 'Mountain King') and signed and sealed on the inside of the lid Shoko with seal Shoko. 25cm x 46cm x 34cm (9 7/8in x 18 1/16in x 13 3/8in).
