绿度母，梵名Syamatara ，全称圣救度佛母，是二十一度母之一。在西藏，绿度母被尊为文成公主的化身，同时也是观音菩萨的化身。度母着五叶宝冠，结高发髻，面容清秀甜美，左手当胸前结「三宝印」，右手施「与愿印」，舒坐于莲台，台前垂飘带，此为乾隆早期继承康熙造像风格的明显特征，上身坐姿弧度明显，与右足下踏莲台形成对应，脚向下伸，意味着随时应机去救度众生。莲瓣分布俊秀饱满，排列整齐，时代特征明显。所拈莲花于肩头绽放，相互辉映。而莲花殊胜之处在于其形状有盛开、半开、含苞三种，分别象征过去、现在、未来，蕴含着绿度母三世誓愿救度一切众生的大悲心。此尊佛像腰肢柔软，是其最具艺术价值者，即便包浆淳厚，仍难掩其下鎏金灿然，值得收藏。
