M.F. Husain (1915-2011), Muhammad and Allah, circa 1972, charcoal and pastel on paper, signed lower right, framed, 35 x 23.5cm. Painted not long after the artist travelled to Mecca Provenance: Purchased 1972 from Kunika- Chemould Art Centre, Delhi by Douglas and Valerie Coombs, thence by descent. The Coombs lived in Mumbai (Bombay) from 1967 to 1973 where Douglas was a British Council representative. Please refer to department for condition report
