此几以树根随形雕琢，依巧思借其天然样貌，施以雕凿修成。其几面镶嵌而成，打磨平坦光滑，根须缠绕弯折间作为几足。随树木生长之态，富有生机与动势，整器造型简洁大方，通体包浆醇厚，古雅清新，乃久经盘玩所致。明清时期，文人崇尚纯朴天然之品味，文房用品亦在简练淡泊的审美情趣下，强调师法自然，以韵取胜。
