The signature to the underside of the drawer likely relates to either Edmund Simpson or Edward Simpson. Both cabinet makers are recorded as working for Gillows in the first half of the 19th century. Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips and splits. A few darker spots to the top. Key present and operates all locks.
