AFTER H AURILI, A FRENCH BRONZE BUST OF A GLADIATOR CIRCA 1880 Inscribed to one shoulder 'H AURILI' and with foundry medallion stamp 'Vrai Bronze Garanti Paris' to reverse, on a Breche Violette marble base 48cm high overall, 30cm wide Condition Report: Patina - variegated colour, chest area darker green/brown patination with the helmet more golden with a patina of scratches and rubbing and some dark spots Overall minor scuffing, scratches and wear overall consistent with age. There is a small amount of movement where the bronze meets the marble plinth A repair to a chip along the top front section of the plinth including some filler, also the the back right area of the plinth.
