钤印：宗慰 孙宗慰（1912-1979）江苏人。1934年考入南京中央大学艺术系，得到名师张大千、徐悲鸿的赏识和指导。1938年毕业于中央大学艺术系，留校任教，加入战地写生团，与吴作人、陈晓南、文金扬等开赴第五战区前线宣传抗日。同年10月，到重庆中央大学艺术系任教，后聘为副研究员、中华全国美术会理事。
