鬲式炉通常陈列于厅堂，有别于一般文玩用炉，造型肃穆端庄，具有一定礼仪功能，其造型源自青铜器，故显古朴沉稳。此鬲式炉以精铜提炼熔铸，胎壁厚实，铸造精到。炉身为标准器型，平口厚凸唇、短束颈、无耳，下承三足，通体光滑圆润，素体无纹。底部錾刻款识『大明宣德年制』字体俊朗，款识规整，其铜如意足座与炉色一体，整体饱满大气。
