A George III mourning ring, the ring with a glazed locket containing a panel of woven hair, the polished tapered shank inscribed Joseph Jackson, died 9th Augt 1799 aged 62, finger size N 1/2, 3.2g gross, with a 19th century ring box On a stone wall panel in St Bride's Church, Fleet Street, London, is the following inscription: In the Vault of this Church are deposited the remains of JOSEPH JACKSON of Hatton Garden, Gent. who died on the 9th day of August 1799, Aged 62 years Also of SARAH JACKSON his wife, who died on the 23rd day of January 1832 Aged 77 years. Also of JOHN JACKSON, third son of the above Joseph and Sarah who died on the 18th day of April 1801 Aged 19 years. Also of JOSEPH JACKSON Second Son of the above Joseph and Sarah who died on the 30th day of August 1817 Aged 37 years Also of LYDIA JACKSON who died on the 7th day of December 1810 Aged 23 years The Beloved wife of James Edward Jackson, M.A., Dean of Armagh, Eldest and only surviving child of the above Joseph and Sarah Jackson, who places this Tablet in memory of those whom he held most dear in this life Trusting, thro' Christ, to be re-united to them in that which is to come. In the same Vault also lieth the body of the above, Very Reverend James Edward Jackson, M.A., Dean and Rector of Armagh, who died at Paris, August 19th 1841 in the 64th year of his age.
