DESCRIPTION: A French 18th century jewelry case. Features a porcelain foundation in the form of a writing desk with hand painted figural courting scenes. Designed with a center pull out drawer and two hinged upper cabinet doors. Doors open to reveal cushion lined interior walls. The reverse marked with script indicating that this was a gift from (Charles Michel), Marquis de Villette to the Princess of Lamballe, Marie-Louise Therese of Savoy-Carignan.
