此炉精铜所铸，撇口，杯型腹，上阔下敛，口沿至腹部对出双云耳。腹下高圈足，器壁以云雷纹为地，两面饰饕餮纹，兽面眉如勾云，双目圆睁，卷鼻阔口，神秘而威严，显示出强烈的震慑之感；足墙则饰以乾、坎、艮、震、巽、离、坤、兑八卦纹为饰；足底编织纹。 本品颇具慕古之风，根据考古类型学的分析，应为明代对西周早中期青铜簋样式的摹古仿制。少见的双云耳灵动婉转，圈足所饰八卦纹为彼时道教流行的产物。整器无论是从器形、纹饰还是工艺的角度上讲，都是一件极为特殊的明代仿古佳器，可谓形神兼备，充分体现了明代仿古器的审美情趣。 附铜质器座。
