A Louis XV beechwood duchesse brisée, circa 1900, with eared arched padded back, and a shaped end section, the close nailed upholster with double cushions on cabriole legs covered in white floral patterned fabric, 99cmhigh, 203cm long, 81cm wide Provenance: Christie's Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, Old splits and cracks, openings to joints and some looseness to the frame, one rear leg has been broken and repaired - there is red coloured filler in this area, this could be restored more sympathetically Reupholstered overall, probably in the last quarter of the 20th century, this has some marks and stains, there are old tack marks to the undersides of the chair frames from this previous upholstery Please see additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
