|此件作品以整块沉香依势随形雕琢。沉香成山形，工匠利用沉香天然纹理或镂空或琢磨成嶙峋山石，下部内掏空，内琢观音靠座石头之上，观音头束髮髻，丰额颐面，面露微笑，身着广袖长袍，双手拢于袖内，神态颇为悠然自得。整件作品拙朴稳重，质感极强。沉香历有佛缘，为佛教五供之一，沉香气味美好能使人忆念佛陀的悲形、智慧等种种巍巍功德，而生欢喜，心向往之，祈愿成就与佛陀同等圆满的生命境界。在手楞严三味经中，即以“香光庄严”来比喻念佛者的缘故，熏染如来的功德。此像以沉香雕佛，是自然造物灵与性的完美统一，至诚至善，自在自和。除此之外，它所蕴含的气场能量才是沉香之之所以倍受珍爱的主要因素。
