A mixed group of alabaster vessels comprising: one mortar with cylindrical body, stepped rim and shallow bowl, '265' inked on the base; one kohl pot with piriform body, cylindrical neck and broad flanged rim, '362' inked onto the body near the base; one vessel with a broadly conical body, pointed base, trumpet-style neck and rim and remains of integral handle(?); one vessel with integral square base with foot to each corner, biconvex body to the pot, with flared foot and short neck, '254' inked on the base; a stopper with rounded body and short cylindrical neck. 810 grams total, 3.7-13.8cm (1 1/2 - 5 1/2"). From the private collection of a New York collector; part of his family collection since at least the early 1970s; two with inked collection numbers '265' and '362' to the base; thence by descent from his grandfather in 1975.
