Qiu Ying (approximately 1498-approximately 1552), Zishifu, named Shizhou, was originally from Taicang, Jiangsu, and later moved to Wu County (now Suzhou). Ming Dynasty painter. Qiu Ying was born in a poor family and dropped out of school at a young age. He studied lacquer and later became a painter with Zhou Chen. Qiu Yingbo draws on the strengths of others, gathers the great achievements of his predecessors, and forms his own unique artistic style. He is omnipotent in landscapes, flowers, boundary paintings, figures, and ladies. He not only paints colors, but is also good at ink and line drawing. He can use a variety of brushstrokes to express different objects. At that time, people called him, Zhou Chen, and Tang Yin as the three great masters of the school; later generations called him together with Shen Zhou, Wen Zhengming, and Tang Yin as the "Four Masters of Ming Dynasty."
