He was humble and gentle, Ning Wang Zhu Chenhao hired him because he admired his virtues, Wen Zhengming asked him not to go. Wen Zhengming's calligraphy and painting skills are extremely comprehensive. He is known as the "four unique" all-round talents in poetry, literature, calligraphy and painting. The poets are Bai Juyi and Su Shi, who studied literature by Wu Kuan, studied calligraphy by Li Yingzhen, and studied painting by Shen Zhou. . He co-created the "Wu School" with Shen Zhou. In the history of painting, he was collectively referred to as the "Four Schools of Ming Dynasty" ("Four Schools of Wu Men") with Shen Zhou, Tang Bohu, and Qiu Ying. In the poems, together with Zhu Yunming, Tang Yin, and Xu Zhenqing, they are called "Four Talents in Wuzhong".
