Su Hanchen (1094-1172), a native of Bianjing (now Kaifeng, Henan), a painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. During the Northern Song Dynasty Huizong Xuanhe reign (1119~1125), he was appointed as a painting academy. During the Southern Song Dynasty Gaozong's Shaoxing reign (1131~1162), he was reinstated. In the Southern Song Dynasty Xiaozong's early Longxing reign (1163), he served as Chengxinlang. Su Hanchen served as an edict for Xuanhe Painting Academy in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was reinstated after going to the south. The master of Liu Zonggu, the mastery of the paintings, the characters are exquisite, especially the babies, and the pictures of the merchandisers painted are detailed, the goods are rich, and they are even more outstanding. Su Hanchen studied the paintings of Liu Zonggu from the Academy of Fine Arts. He painted figures, scholars, and Buddhist and Taoist religious paintings. He is especially good at depicting the scenes of baby play and the bargains, and his mood is vivid.
