A Small Sino-Tibetan Gilt Bronze Figure of Seated Buddha Shakyamuni 16TH/17TH CENTURY 明末-清初 銅鎏金釋迦牟尼坐像 the well-cast figure depicted seated in a vajraparyankasana posture on a tiered double-lotus base, with hands held in dhyanamudra, cloaked in a pleated robe draping over the left shoulder before pooling in folds at the ankles. The oblong face with serene eyes downcast toward a soft smile between pendulous earlobes beneath tightly coiled hair rising to an ushnisha surmounted by a spherical jewel. Height 5 in., 12.7 cm.
