CLOISONNE VASE W.23cm H.28cm Description: This is a coisonne vase with patterns and made during Qianlong reign. It has a dish-shaped mouth,rounded belly and ring feet. The shape is exquisite and elegant. The edge of mouth is decorated with clouds pattern for a whole circle. The vase is fully painted with the entwined lotus pattern, which is taken from the passion flower, commonly known as the entwined lotus pattern. It was originally a Western European pattern,then introduced by the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty and prevailed. Because of its branch and vine shape, it has the meaning of "continuous". The middle and shoulders are decorated with animal-shaped carvings surrounded by passion flower vines, which indicates a flowery, graceful and rich atmosphere.
