此件玉印为和田白玉质地，细腻温润，局部受沁呈棕褐色。印体呈扁方覆斗形，顶部立体圆雕一龟钮。玉龟翘首，龟甲饱满，甲纹琢刻细致，形态较为写实，身下横打一孔可作穿系。印面平整，琢刻“巧工司马”四字。字形布局舒朗，线条刚劲沉稳，与印面浑然一体，具有浓郁的装饰效果，是一件典型的明代文人印。
