水洗以白玉为材，取整料雕琢而成，玉质温润细腻，宝光内敛；雕工简练老到，打磨细致光滑。洗成海棠花形，外侧镂雕花朵枝梗盘绕成底足，一枝分支延伸至玉洗内；枝梗蟠曲遒劲，结满花卉枝叶；花朵叶片雕琢精细，花蕊及叶片锯齿边缘都琢刻清晰。另有蜻蜓，鸣蝉，野蜂附于洗身，更添自然野趣。整器布局合理妥帖，雕工精湛，造型精美典雅，线条流畅而富有张力，为上佳玉雕文房小雅。
