John Thomas is recorded in Moore, A.J. THE CLOCKMAKERS OF SOMERSET 1650-1900 as born in 1690 and died in 1760. Moore notes that John Thomas took in three apprentices - Thomas Flood in 1719, Samuel Loman in 1749 and Roger Cousins in 1753; and that he was also listed as a Juror in 1748.
